Not so much...

So I was in a store the other day, just browsing through the shoe section and I saw these Stuart Weitzman shoes. Hmm...how do I put this delicately? He kind of killed the whole PVC thing for me, even though I wasn't a big fan in the first place because having someone (or everyone) be able to see right through your handbag or whatever other accessories/attire you may be wearing has just never exactly appealed to me. But anyway back to the point... do you guys really think that he hit a homerun with these shoes? I'm just having some serious issues believing that they're going to be the next big thing.

Sorry if they're hard to see...it's a little difficult to find a good representation when the whole thing is pretty much clear. It kind of blends in pretty well don't you think?

Stuart Weitzman Lucite Wedges $298

Not to mention that they are really overpriced...$300 for a bunch of see-through plastic??

So I'm really sorry if any one of you guys really like these shoes because I am like totally dissing them...

I don't like those shoes ! Plus the fact that it's in PVC , it must be terrible the summer with the perspiration ....

I don't like this see-through shoe is particular, but wouldn't it be fun to have a pair of see-through stilettos...think about it...you would be like Cinderella in her pair of glass, I mean plastic, heels.

Eck, I hate them. I'm sick of seeing them on Coco Rocha in Vogue..

Well let's agree to disagree - because I think they're fabulous! I love the lucite wedge and the silver leather accents (although the plastic straps would probably dig in like crazy...)

I like SOME PVC shoes, but it has to be done tastefully. The first pair of shoes there I don't like, the strap just reminds me of those jelly shoes I used to wear in Primary school with white frilly socks...Linked you by the way x

horrible. they look like $50 prom shoes.

I don't think they're so bad. They definately don't look like cheap prom shoes, as the defining feature of those is clunkiness and odd proportions. While these don't look comfortable per se, they're light, dainty, and girly. I don't know why everyone thinks that they aren't well executed; the wedge tapers beautifully and the toes are covered up so that the peep-toe is still effective.

As for the price, they're Stuart Weitzman. At that level, you're paying for the "prestige" of wearing his name. Do you really think, for example, that a Chloe cotton dress costs thousands because of the quality of the material???

I think there cute...but way to expensive. Not cute enough to spend $300.
