well bloggers... i have decided to take a little hiatus from blogging. i know it's really horrible of me to do this because i haven't been updating at all lately and no returning of comments... gah it really has been bad hasn't it?? i just need a little time off... between school and tennis i just have had zero time whatsoever and it is just a little vacation i guess. so to that end i don't know how long this break is going to be, a few weeks, a month... but don't worry i'll definitely be back with a bang! so ciao bellas, at least for now :-)

Favorite trends for Fall 2007

Thought I'd do a post on some of my favorite things that were featured in this fall's runway shows. Enjoy!

one.
grey

I don't know about you guys but this is one of my favorite new trends mainly because I think that it is so versatile. I'd wear it with anything- brown, black, purple, blue... etc. etc. And I'm a huge fan of black and wear it all year round (not in a goth kind of way but in a cute way... well you get my point) and I think that grey may be my new black for the fall and winter- and that is really saying a lot.

two.
jumpers

YAY! Jumpers are back! Finally! I love these things to death- they're awesome to put on over a t-shirt or a blouse and I love them in the winter when I can wear them with tights and boots.

luxe:

less:

three.
crocodile

Like the trend and I definitely do not think I'm ever going to buy a real crocodile anything (sorry I would just feel super bad- like I killed the crocodile or alligator or whatever) but I think I'll do the trend in a more subtle (and fake) way. Shoes are always a good option and belts are great to liven up an outfit.

Hèrmes

luxe:

Madeline Crocodile Sandal by Michael Kors, $975, at neiman marcus

less:

Devi Kroell for Target Hobo, $34.99, at target

four.
layering

Acutally not really a new trend but I've personally always loved layering myself so I just thought I'd include it. Great thing just in general- I love doing t-shirts under dresses and then a sweater and a coat with tights and boots on the bottom. That is pretty much what I wear every day during fall and winter (assuming it's not too cold).

runway:

3.1 Phillip Lim

luxe:

Bi La Li Empire Line Dress, $493, at net-a-porter

Elongated alpaca sweater by Chloé, $580, at net-a-porter

Lux Printed Cowl Neck Top, $48, at urban outfitters

Stretch vintage cord Charlie jacket by JCrew, $118, at jcrew

five.
two-tone

Another thing I'm way excited about. Two-tone is awesome just with everything. My favorite would have to be the DVF number, I actually majorly splurged and bought it the other day just because I couldn't resist how gorgeous it was and I LOVE it! Even though it is only August, I've already worn it twice and I paired it with silver heels and a cropped summery jacket and it actually totally worked.

luxe:

Organza bubble hem dress by Lela Rose, $1150, at net-a-porter

less:

six.
gold dresses

Love pretty much anything gold and these dresses are no exception. I'd wear them with tights and booties or chunky heels. the other great thing is that you can either dress them up or down depending on the occasion. I've been known to wear my metallic dresses under think chunky sweaters with tights for the day and go with a leather jacket and heels at night. Just an option...
